Staff
The main role of the Presbytery and Synod staff is to enable congregations to be, "...the primary expression of the Church's life...worshipping, witnessing and serving as fellowships of the Spirit of Christ." (Basis of Union, Para 15(a)).
Introducing our Tasmanian staff:
Carol Bennett, Synod Liaison Minister represents the Synod in Tasmania and is the point of liaison between the Synod and congregations in Tasmania. In the capacity of Presbytery Minister, Pastoral Care, Carol is responsible for the pastoral care of all ministry workers. Carol also has overall responsibility for the Tasmanian office.
Scott Guyatt, Prestbytery Minister - Mission Development, facilitates and encourages effective mission on the part of congregations and church members. He assists congregations to develop and implement mission plans, and resources and supports mission networks across Tasmania. Scott promotes national and world mission, and is the resource person for the Mission Development Committee.

Alison Whish, Presbytery Minister - Leadership Development, works with the communities of the Presbytery to foster and develop leadership in congregations, faith communities, agencies and with groups and individuals. She is a contact point for the Centre for Theology and Ministry in Tasmania and will support regular educational opportunities such as the School of Ministry, Code of Ethics days for Ministry Workers, training and development for Elders, people employed as Pastors, and support of Lay Preachers and Lay Preachers in training, people undertaking Period of Discernment, and ministerial candidates. Does your community want to explore how to make decisions by consensus, explore further in worship leading skills, equip newly elected elders, or Church Councillors, then have a chat and discover what could be possible.
Sue Walker, Administration Co-ordinator,
and Bronwyn Howard, Administration Assistant, have general responsibility for the day to day management of the office, the Presbytery Directory and Uniting Tasmania preparation, maintaining Presbytery records and data and other office duties. Contact Sue or Bronwyn if you have queries on the work of the Uniting Church Tasmanian Office.
Barbara Wood, Property Co-ordinator, works one day per week (usually Wednesdays). She processes property matters, including matters to do with the sale, lease and purchase of properties. Barbara is your first point of contact for anything relating to Tasmanian property.
Andrea Bartley, Children's Ministry Catalyst, works one day a week resourcing, networking and developing children's and family ministries around the Presbytery. For five months of the year she concentrates on planning for the KUCA Campout.
Nat Dixon-Monu, Youth Ministry Catalyst, works to support and encourage the young people in our congregations to find purpose and community. Nat also keeps us aware of Social Justice issues.
